Michael Rait is the principal of BR Design Associates, a leading NYC corporate interior design firm that he started in 1985. Michael formed his firm to deliver award-winning modernist design to a growing list of clients. He is a listener, first to last, and a great problem solver. He is a collaborator, a design innovator, and an active partner on every project. Michael and his team create beautiful, functional, often unexpected design solutions for office environments. Knowing that the interior design business is all about loyalty and trust—with clients, staff, and partners—he has deep relationships with the New York metro real estate and business communities.

Michael has received national and international recognition for many of his projects, including the offices of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Winklevoss Capital, and Elite Daily. His work has been seen in many publications and has earned him the AIA Interiors Award, among many other honors. Michael holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Environmental Design from the Parsons School of Design/New School. He is a member of many industry associations and regularly speaks on architecture, design, and branding.
